Eddie McGuire Joins the IMP Charge for Boston

Inspired by Deeks work with the Indigenous Marathon Project (IMP), Eddie McGuire has signed himself up for a challenge of a lifetime – The Boston Marathon. In just six months Eddie, who admits to currently being in the worst shape of his life, will take part in one of Rob’s favourite events, and join the four IMP runners in their first ever marathon. “Eddie has a wonderful ability to raise awareness about IMP, and the work we are doing with these amazing young Indigenous men and women. His involvement might even inspire other celebrities and corporate personalities to become Ambassadors for IMP, get into shape, run a marathon, and help us to support and promote our program.” Deek said. “IMP relies heavily on the support of the running community and other groups to enable us to provide these opportunities and create young inspirational Indigenous leaders and role models.” IMP role models inspire others in their communities and families to believe in themselves and demonstrates what can be achieved. “We are proud to have Eddie on board and joining our runners as they use the marathon to change their lives and promote running, physical activity and healthy living within Indigenous communities to reduce the incidence of chronic disease.” de Castella said.
