Athletes and representatives from the Australian Olympic Committee were part of the more than 100 Indigenous runners, supporters and sponsors who attended the historic Uluru 10km relay run on 18 July, to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of the handing back of Uluru to its Traditional Owners.
This video, filmed by AOC Education Manager, Ashleigh Knight, captures brilliantly the activities of the weekend including the fourth annual Deadly Fun Run Championships and the incredibly significant and memorable 10km relay run around the base of Uluru.
It was an unforgettable, emotionally charged occasion that gave everyone the experience of a lifetime.
Sit back and enjoy this video. We are so proud of our country’s rich, deep history and hope you can share that connection with us.
