Meet your 2016 squad!

The time has FINALLY arrived – we can reveal the 2016 IMP squad who will work hard over the next six months to earn their position in the final squad to take on the New York Marathon!

It was an incredibly difficult decision for Head Coach, Mick Rees. We received an overwhelming record number of 183 applicants from regional, small remote, and city Indigenous communities across the country, many who have been inspired by our IMP Graduates.

The quality of all applicants was very high and all applicants are to be congratulated on putting their hand up and having the courage to not just apply, but also to attend the trials.

We encourage everyone who did apply and missed out this year to continue applying – we have a number of IMP Graduates and some runners in this year’s squad who have tried out multiple times, so please, don’t give up!

And, now, it is with absolute excitement to introduce you to your 2016 IMP squad!
